ラジコン業界にとって"も"かなり痛いですね。
特にスケールクローラー系は。
だって、アメリカのほぼ全ての大手RCメーカーの製造は中国/台湾ですから。
更に、今や中国のRC市場は世界1か世界２位ですので、今回の中国に対する関税の措置は業界を大きく変化させるトリガーになりかねません。
そんな中、香港のBoomRacingのSNSで現状についてのアナウンスがありましたのでシェアして起きます。
米国向け注文に関する周知
Just sharing an update on what’s been happening with our business amid all the recent changes. Some of you are wondering why your orders haven’t shipped yet. Aside from the Easter holidays (Friday, Saturday, and Monday), we also had an electricity outage today.
On the two working days we had (Tuesday and Wednesday), we had to prioritize shipping all US-bound orders first. If we didn’t, customers would face over 100% in taxes, and if they didn’t pay, we’d have to cover it ourselves. This is why some companies in Hong Kong and China have already stopped shipping to the US entirely.
We’ll work on shipping everyone else’s orders as soon as possible. These are really challenging times, and I hope you can understand the delay.
For those in the US, you can still order from Atees.com and Boomracing.com. Ordering from our US warehouse is the safest way to avoid tariff charges. We’re monitoring the situation closely. As of now, we haven’t stopped shipping from our HK warehouse to the US, but that may change.
I hate to say it, but if you need something, grab it now. Once US stock runs out, the only way to restock will be through higher-priced items with tariffs included. Of course, if the bosses reach a deal, this won’t be necessary.
In my 25 years in the RC business, I’ve never faced this level of uncertainty, well, maybe once, but that’s a story for another time. Let's hope for the best, and prepare for the worst. Hope everyone stays alert and finds a way to overcome this challenge

25年間のRCビジネスにおいて、これほどの不確実性に直面したことは初めてだ。
FedExのトラックに満タンにするのは、これが最後になるだろう
我々日本人にとっては、BoomRacing/Ateesから製品を買う、中国メーカーの製品を買う、という場合は影響が無いように感じますが、最大の市場でもあるアメリカ市場でこういったことが起きると、追々ベース価格の高騰は免れないと思われ、結果的に中国メーカーのRC製品の価格が大幅にアップするのではないかな？という予感がしています。
アメリカ向けの価格とその他の国向けの価格が個別に設定されるという可能性もありますが、いずれにせよ多少の値上げは避けられないかもしれません。
現状まだ、アメリカの大手メーカーの製品価格は現状位置のママです（2月の値上げ後から変わりなし）。
例えばですが、AXIAL SCX10 III Jeep CJ7 RTRは$549.99ですが、今日現在の中国からの輸入品に対する関税率は145%とのことなので、仕入れ値を6掛けとして、$330 + $330×145% = $808 で、$808×1.4掛け = $1130 （ザックリ）
1/10のRTRが1000ドル超えの衝撃。これ、買う人いないよね(笑)
だって元の価格知ってるんだもん。
もちろん、この合戦はどこかで終息するとは思うけどね・・・
